Do not use Loreal Professionnel Xtenso Smoothing Cream Normal Hair:

• On children.
• If your customer has an irritated or damaged scalp.
• If your customer has already reacted to this type of product, for example, perm wave and straightener.
• Do not use on bleached, more than 30% highlighted or hair treated with metallic salts. Do not use on hair straightened or permed with an alkaline straightening/perming cream based on Sodium Hydroxide (Soda) or a *Soda Free* product, whether based on potassium hydroxide (potash), Lithium Hydroxide (lithine), Guanidine Carbonate or Potassium Citrate to prevent hair loss or breakage.
• If your customer has fragile or damaged hair, for example after successive dyes.
• If your customer has just dyed his/her hair. Wait 15 days before using this product.
• If the hair splits or the scalp is irritated after the swatch test.

What you must know before perming your hair:

• Contains ammonia and thioglycolic acid salts.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• If irritation occurs during the application of Xtenso Oleoshape Smoothing Cream, rinse immediately and thoroughly, and use Xtenso Oleoshape Digital Perm or Straightening Neutralizer according to the instructions. Recommend that your customer consults a doctor if the irritation persists.
• Contact with eyes can cause permanent injury, including blindness.
• In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly with warm water and recommend that your customer consults a doctor.
• In case of ingestion, contact your doctor and show the label. Do not induce vomiting.
• Wear appropriate gloves, preferably disposable, throughout the perming process.
• Use the strength of Xtenso Oleoshape smoothing cream suited to your customer’s hair. For us on dyed hair, apply exclusively the strength for sensitive hair. For use on henna treated hair, it is essential to perform a swatch test.
• It is required to use the neutralizing cream or lotion afterward.
• After using the product, recommend that your customer waits at least 15 days if he or she wants to apply a permanent dye.

How to use Loreal Professionnel Xtenso Smoothing Cream Normal Hair:

Preparation of the hair

• Try the product on a swatch before perming or straightening all the hair, even if your customer’s has already been permed or straightened. Follow the application instructions below:
• Record the time to achieve the appropriate softening of the hair. Do not exceed 20 minutes.
• No need to heat with rods or iron plate for this swatch test.
• If hair breaks or scalp is irritated, do not use the product or any other perm product.

Application:

• Wear appropriate disposable gloves during the application and rinsing of the products.
• Empty Xtenso Oleoshape Smoothing cream in a non-metallic bowl.
• Apply the reducing agent starting beyond about half a centimeter from the scalp. If the hair has already been permed or straightened, only apply to new regrowth.
• Use a timer. The application time must be counted in the total processing time. Total development time: Extra resistant hair, resistant and normal strengths: 15–20 minutes.
• Sensitive strength: 10 – 15 minutes.
• Sooth with fingers or side of hand to ensure product is spread through hair, and it remains straight.
• Do not leave the reducing agent in contact with the hair for more than 20 minutes or the time determined by the swatch test, otherwise rinse the treated zone. Do not develop under heat.
• Do not pull the hair during application.
• Do not leave treated swatches in contact with the skin.
• Rinse thoroughly with warm water until complete elimination of the reducing agent. Ensure that the rinse water does not run into the eyes.
• Towel dry carefully.
• Then neutralize the hair using the Xtenso Oleoshape Neutralizing Lotion or cream, leave on for 10 minutes and rinse off until complete elimination.
